I happened to be in Washington DC for a conference this week. October 26, 2017 was the day the JFK Assassination Files were supposed to be released. Apparently a lot of people wanted to hear my thoughts on it. Here’s what I’ve said in the media this week:
Jackie, JFK, & the 50-Mile Hike
She was known to the world as “Jackie” but to me, she was and always will be, “Mrs. Kennedy.” With the movie “Jackie” up for an Academy Award this weekend, I thought I’d share one of my favorite memories.
February 22, 1963. JFK and Jackie Kennedy had flown down to Palm Beach, and that night, they made an unusual request of me. It’s hard to believe it has been 54 years since I went on that “little” 50-mile hike in my Florsheim dress shoes. Here’s an excerpt from MRS. KENNEDY AND ME (Gallery/Simon and Schuster, 2012).

Clint Hill and the JFK Assassination – a Secret Service Agent’s Burden
Over the past six weeks I have traveled across the United States with my co-author Lisa McCubbin talking about our latest book, Five Presidents: My Extraordinary Journey with Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford (Gallery/Simon and Schuster, May 3, 2016). We have been humbled by the tremendous interest and response to the book, and along the way I spoke with Rob Nikolewski of the San Diego Tribune. He published this article, in which he writes about the toll the assassination of JFK has taken on me, and how it affected my career in the Secret Service.

Remembering JFK’s Last Birthday
As a Secret Service agent, I had the privilege of witnessing history unfold. JFK’s last birthday was one of those memorable events.

29 May 1963
Of course I am best known for that one day in Dallas, the day of JFK’s assassination, but in my book Five Presidents: My Extraordinary Journey with Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford, I have recounted many of the lesser known events I witnessed during my career as well. In commemoration of John F. Kennedy’s birthday, here is a brief excerpt:
